Non-point pollution reduction facilities are receiving attention, as reducing water pollution caused by non-point pollution sources becomes important. This project is to research vortex-type facilities that are excellent in removing particulate matter and have the advantage of controlling a wide range of flow rates.
Through several trial & errors and theory analysis, it was found that the continuation of sufficient vortex and fluid velocity are important to increase the efficiency of filtering particles. We chose the height of the inlet 2.8 m and the installation of spiral fins with a slope of 32 degrees inside the inner cylinder model for the most effective model which forms uniform vortex formation and sufficient duration time.
